v0.2.1 - Convenience enhancement


This update is aimed at improving the usability of some things and fixing bugs. Hope you enjoy this update, let's take a look at the changelog!

Features:

  • 10 new levels.
  • Pressing "Esc" opens the pause menu, previously you had to click the button with the mouse.
  • Pressing "R" quickly restarts the level, previously you also had to press the button with the mouse.
  • Pressing "Tab" opens the sandbox menu, if available.
  • Now when you open the pause menu, the game will be paused.
  • Now, when trying to create a level with an empty or busy name, the game will show a warning.
  • Now, when creating a new level, the name "New level 1" will be written in the field with its name by default.
  • Now the level can end automatically if you have no ammo left and nothing happens.
  • Added button "I'm didn't finished!" in case the automatic completion of the level did not work correctly.
  • Now you can hide the ground in the editor. May come in handy if you accidentally placed a block in the ground.
  • Now the level is considered passed if you have destroyed 90% or more of the blocks.
  • Added animation to the progress bar in the completed level panel.
  • In the panel of the passed level, the inscription "New record" is added if you have passed the level and beat your previous record.
  • Now in the list of levels, in the main menu, different values are highlighted. (Record: 123, size: 123kb and more)
  • Added fuse burning particles for explosives.
  • Added option to show/hide scoring animation in video settings.
  • Added a button to copy official levels to your editor.
  • Added a button to exit the editor without saving the level.

Rework:

  • Temporarily reduced the size of the sandbox window, as half of this window is empty.
  • Increased the maximum mass limit for projectiles in sandbox mode to 1000 kg.
  • Now after paste objects they will be selected.
  • Changed the color of the joints in the editor.

Fixes:

  • Some wrong words in translation.
  • When there were too many blocks in the level, he would not have time to line up in 2 seconds at the beginning of the level, and because of this, the initial cannon timer ended earlier than it should.

Technical:

  • Changed version numbering, instead of "0.2.1 beta" is now just "0.2.1".

So, while the next update is planned to be big, but it is impossible to predict much, so several small ones may come out before the big update. In a big update, we plan to add more variety of blocks, a new map and NPCs! But before that, it is necessary to rewrite some game code, since the game is being developed for a long time, and quite a lot of bad code has accumulated, which makes it difficult to add something radically new to the game. Therefore, the release date of the next update is still far from known, but I hope you won't have to wait long :)
